A family home with a lake view

The house that welcomes our guests today was our grandparents' home in Navene and, over the years, became our holiday home. Before we began welcoming guests, it was a family home, a place we had lived in and knew inside out.

With a careful renovation we gave new life to the house and to the two existing first-floor apartments, today the Riva apartment and the Limone apartment. The name Finestra sul Lago, "window on the lake", came almost naturally from what you see from the house: Lake Garda from the windows, from the terraces and from the spaces you enjoy throughout the day.

Car, charging and bikes

Each apartment has its own private parking space, within the gated grounds of the house. Shared charging point with a Type 2 socket (bring your own cable), charged based on electricity consumption. Garage for bikes and sports equipment. Reserved for guests of the two apartments.

Which apartment to choose?

The two apartments have different characters, but share the same approach to hospitality: bright, well-kept spaces designed to make every guest feel at ease.

Riva Apartment, 63 m², up to 4 guests. More compact, with a private lake-view terrace. Double bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with a bunk bed; air conditioning in the living area. For couples and families.
Limone Apartment, 73 m², up to 6 guests. More spacious, with a long private lake-view terrace and a small terrace next to the kitchen. Lake-view double bedroom, with two single beds on request; second bedroom with a bunk bed, two single beds below and one above, plus an extra single bed in the same room for 6 guests; air conditioning in the living area and the second bedroom. Designed for families.

Looking after the house

Cristina personally looks after Finestra sul Lago and prepares and cleans the apartments herself: hospitality starts even before you arrive, with a tidy, clean house that is ready for you.

She is there at check-in and helps guests settle in. After that, she is on hand when needed, giving everyone time to themselves and respecting their privacy.

The location

The house is about 50 metres from the beach, in a slightly elevated, quiet position. The public playground is right next door; the beach, bars and restaurants are just a few minutes' walk away.

Navene is a small hamlet of Malcesine on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, the Verona side, between the water and Monte Baldo. It is a favourite spot for sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding: just a short walk away are the Fraglia Vela Malcesine sailing club, with sailing courses for children and adults, and kitesurfing and windsurfing schools.

The historic centre of Malcesine, with Scaliger Castle and the cable car up Monte Baldo, is just a few kilometres away. The bus stop is about 200 metres away and a cycle and footpath runs along the lake towards Malcesine.
